  1. whenever she crossed that lane, I tried to overcome my pain. my heart started beating like the running train.

whenever she crossed that lane…my soul purified my pain and started walking again.

whenever she crossed that lane, she always asked me to hold her in the falling rain.

  2. Whenever she used to cross that lane,
The memories flew in ones and twos,
    And thousands soon-
Like the imperfections of the moon
She gave in to the wind,
    And the splashes of rain,
    That brought out the stars
    On her mind,
    On the canvas lying vacant,
    With faces old and new.
    The memories flew…

  3. Whenever she crossed the lane,
she thanked it for making her what she was today.
She thanked the road which told her to move on, and not stop on the way.
She thanked the trees that told her to face the storm and still not break away.
Whenever she crossed the lane, it bought tears in her eye as well as smile on her lips,
closing her eyes she thanked the almighty,
    for whatever she learned back,
on this lane which changed her life for good.

  4. Whenever she used to cross that lane,
    My heart skipped a beat,
    Thousand thoughts crowded my mind,
Hope she brings a bottle of wine,
    The day that went,
    The day that will,
    Whenever she crossed that lane,
    I was young again….

  5. She never looked back. She never wanted to remember where they parted.
It still was fresh in her memory. She feared, if she looked back, she’d see him again; Standing by the other side of the lane wishing she came back.

  6. Whenever she used to cross that lane,
the advent of a sudden rain on a sunny day
though she was armed with an umbrella
old memories that came with the weather
would always force her to beat a hasty retreat
and ponder over them, forlorn as she could get
in the confines of her dark room with wet walls…

  7. Whenever she used to cross the lane , her heart would pound , her legs would race , her hands would tremble , her mind would stop , only thing she would feel would be stark terror , teror and horror that would be unending .
She would just wish that the past doesn’t repeat ……….

  8. Whenever she used to cross that lane
She remembers the day it all began
    It was in the rains
He was drenched to his skin
She ushered him to share her umbrella
Unknown to her, she ushered him into her life
    Forever, locked in love
    Until that fateful day
When the grim reaper strolled in
And shattered her world to several broken pieces

PS: Don’t know if this fits into the blank space…. πŸ™‚

  9. Whenever she used to cross that lane, she became the girl with ideas in her head. Not your ‘usual’ stream of ideas along the lines of ‘What shall I do tonight?’, ‘Did I turn the gas off’ or the like. No, these were ideas about fantasy worlds and people that lived in a flurry of stars and glitter. There were adventures, and adventurers to go on them (taking her with them) and sometimes she, herself, was a mighty elf queen in glistening samite.
She would lose herself for that hour in these imaginings.

Sadly, she had to recross that line, go back to her desk in the offices of Dyall and Borein to earn the crusts that fed her and watered her.

One day she would cross the lane and not come back.

    Maybe tomorrow.

      1. Definitely..
Whenever she used to cross that lane,
she used to simply test her fate,
just a glance of him, just a voice of him,
heart aching to see him smile,
his child who rested peacefully in shrine…

P.S. Hope you liked it πŸ™‚
